Introduction

More Light Presbyterians is an organization that stands with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) people and with their families, friends and allies calling for the welcome and affirmation of all baptized Christians as equal church members of our Presbyterian Church (USA).

More Light Presbyterians is in its 38th year of advocacy work to create ordination and marriage equality for all. We have resourced local congregations in creating marriage equality overtures for the 220th. General Assembly in Minneapolis, MN and will field a strong advocacy team at the Assembly.

Our goal at the 220th General Assembly is to make the changes necessary in our Directory of Worship to affirm marriage as a blessing for all committed couples and to oppose the schismatic attempts to reinstate the previous aberrant ordination standards in any form.
